How to use this tool

Sign a PDF on your device in three steps

  1. Create your signature

Open a PDF and use Draw, Type or Upload image in the Signature dialog, then choose Add signature. PNG and JPG images are supported; their backgrounds are kept.

  2. Move and resize the mark

Select the signature on the page, move it into place and resize it to fit. Check nearby text and the signature line. Use Signature again to add another mark; on a phone or tablet it is in More tools.

  3. Export and review

Choose Export and create the PDF. Preserve PDF structure keeps ordinary source text and graphics where supported. Reopen the download and check the signature and every edited page before sharing.

What to check before you share

  • This adds a visual signature, not a certificate-backed digital signature or a signature-request service. Check that the recipient accepts this format.
  • Editing a PDF may invalidate existing digital signatures. This tool does not verify the identity of a signer.
  • Preserved export can retain source metadata and hidden content. Redactions or replacement edits require sanitized image-only output; review their visible coverage before sharing.
