How to use this tool

Word to PDF in three steps

  1. Choose your Word document

Open one .docx file with supported text and a simple layout. The document is checked and converted on this device, then its PDF opens in the workspace.

  2. Review the PDF pages

Check substituted fonts, list labels, table rows, image placement and page breaks. Select or search for a few words to check the text.

  3. Export a selectable PDF

Choose Export and Preserve PDF structure to keep the converted text selectable. Reopen the download and review it before sharing.

What to check before you share

  • One .docx file up to 20 MiB and a result of up to 200 pages. Simple paragraphs, supported lists, basic unmerged tables, inline PNG or JPEG pictures and web hyperlinks are supported. Link destinations are preserved without being fetched.
  • Supported Latin, Greek and Cyrillic characters can be converted. Legacy .doc, macro-enabled .docm, encrypted documents, tracked changes, text boxes, merged cells, page-number fields, multiple columns, equations and other unsupported content are rejected.
  • Document fonts are substituted. Line wrapping, spacing and page breaks can change; check every page against your Word document.
  • Redactions or replacement edits require sanitized image-only export, which removes selectable text. The original Word file is separate from the converted PDF.
